In 2020, a Memorandum of Understanding Between the Faculty of International and Political Studies (FIPS) of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, and LSE IDEAS at the London School of Economics and Political Science was signed, thus establishing cooperation between the two institutions.

Our focus is above all on research related to these regions. It also enables the exchange of academic staff, students, publications, and resources. Our mission is to jointly organise conferences, lectures, workshops, and seminars and we will engage in publishing activity related to the social, economic, and political problems of present-day Central and South-Eastern Europe.

We also offer a Visiting Fellowship Programme, which serves as a platform of cooperation between Jagiellonian University's scholars and LSE, including their affiliation and visiting lectures.

Krakow is the second CSEEP regional desk after Cluj-Napoca in Romania.
