Centre for LSE IDEAS Central and South-Eastern Europe Programme is affiliated with the Faculty of International and Political Studies (FIPS), which is one of the sixteen main Faculties within the Jagiellonian University. It offers a variety of BA- and MA-level programs in the field of political studies, cultural studies, and regional studies, conducted in Polish, English, Russian, and Ukrainian languages. It was founded by the Jagiellonian University Senate’s resolution on April 19th, 2000.

FIPS is divided into seven institutes, specializing in distinctive fields: American Studies and Polish Diaspora, the Middle and Far East, European Studies, Political Science and International Relations, Russian and East European Studies, Intercultural Studies, and Chinese Language and Culture (Confucius Institute in Kraków). Moreover, there are various other academic centres affiliated with FIPS, Centre for LSE IDEAS Central and South-Eastern Europe Programme being one of them.

In 2020, the Faculty relocated to the new building on Reymonta 4 street, creating the new JU campus, and gathering almost all institutes and academic centres in one building. FIPS headquarters is the hub of academic activities, using four lecturing halls and over sixty lecture rooms, students’ common room, library, as well as faculty and administrative offices.

Jagiellonian University’s Desk within CEEPS is also located in the Reymonta 4 building, on its first floor in room 125.
